The process:

The detox foot bath removes toxins from the lymphatic system through the pores of your feet, which are the largest pores of your body. The ionization process is produced through the foot bath to promote the flow of fluid through the lymphatics. 

Although it is difficult to know for sure what toxins are being generated into the foot bath water, some pracititioners have attempted to correlate water color variation (via biomeridian and bioterrain testing analysis) with specific organ systems in the body. Below is a listing of what is thought to occur with color variation.

• Black or brown water - liver
• Orange - joints
• Dark green - gallbladder
• Yellow green - kidneys, urinary tract
• White Foam - lymph node drainage
• Red flecks - blood clot material
• Black flecks - heavy metals

What is known for sure is that some particles that end up in the water are generated off the ion current probe itself and what is left over floating on top of the water or sticking to the edge of the water tub are chemical toxins that have been removed via detoxification.

The Ionic foot bath should not be used by individuals, who are epileptic or hemophiliac, or those with a pacemaker or other electrical or electronic implant, implanted organs or on blood thinners.  It should also not be used by children under age 4, or during pregnancy or lactation.
